For the past 20 years, eSky Group has been successfully changing the face of the travel industry and the way people travel. We have achieved a lot since 2004 and are proud of where we are today. Now we are moving in an even more ambitious direction, laying the foundations to make eSky the leading travel platform in Central and Eastern Europe by 2027.
Beginnings
eSky.pl was established in Poland in 2004 as the first online air ticket booking platform. It offered quick and easy access to compare and book flights, bringing it worldwide popularity.
Initial development
Since its inception, eSky has relied on an innovative approach. The company quickly moved from organising Work&Travel trips in 2004 to creating an advanced booking platform for comparing and purchasing airline tickets. Thanks to its own technology, eSky was the first company in Poland to offer customers access to low-cost airline tickets, revolutionising the travel market. In its first years of operation, the platform started to expand into foreign markets: very quickly it became a travel market leader in Central and Eastern Europe.
Next steps
The years 2010-2019 were a period of dynamic development for eSky. The company intensified its international expansion, increasing its geographical reach to the Americas, Africa and Asia, before later launching the platform in 50 countries worldwide. At the same time, it expanded its services with new products and set its sights on closer cooperation with foreign service providers, such as hotel bookings, car rental and travel insurance. Riding the wave of mobile technology development and the increasing number of journeys booked through this channel, eSky introduced a modern mobile application that is one of the CEE region’s best-rated, allowing for easy booking of tickets, accommodation, and cars.

Today, eSky is synonymous with travel industry innovation. The company is constantly investing in technological development, offering a mobile app, intelligent booking systems and personalised customer offers. The acquisition of the Thomas Cook brand is an important milestone in the implementation of eSky's strategy: this will help to strengthen the platform's position in both the European and global markets, leveraging Thomas Cook's rich history and reputation for further growth.
Future
Combining Thomas Cook’s experience and heritage with eSky’s modern solutions and expertise will catalyse further growth of the travel platform. It will leverage the brand recognition and rich history of the British travel giant's dynamic packaging business to provide customers in Poland and other CEE countries with a tailored and responsive Flight+Hotel offer.
